Dr. Julia Eka Rini has served as a faculty member at the Department of English, Petra Christian University, since 1994. Her teaching expertise encompasses Translation, Language Acquisition, and skill-based courses such as Writing and Listening. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Julia is an accomplished translator and interpreter. Her translated works have been published by notable publishers in Indonesia, including Dioma, Kanisius, and Karmelindo, as well as a Philippine publisher. As an interpreter, she has traveled extensively across Indonesia—visiting cities such as Pangkalpinang, Jakarta, Semarang, Solo, Pontianak, and Denpasar—and has also served internationally in Rome (April 2014).

Dr. Julia served as the Head of the Master's Program in Literature from 2017 to 2021.
